The Cause – Portobello Rugby Club

An interactive gathering for young people (15+) who are passionate about knowing God and want others to know Him. The gathering involves discussion and teaching about the bible, encouraging each other to live it out, stories about what God has done in our lives and celebrating Jesus. We are passionate about seeing young people coming know who they are and what they were made to do, being freed from the peer pressure of our times and culture. The group is known as Kensington Temple Youth Ministry (KTYM), which is part of Kensington Temple, a vibrant, multicultural church in Notting Hill Gate.

About Ed Harrap

Born and raised in London, I've spent the last decade in KT's Youth Ministry working alongside some great leaders: Dominic de Souza, Kristian Lythe, Daniel Stenmark and Andreas Granlund. After leaving sixth form, I worked for Colin Dye as his assistant during my gap year. Following that, I went to King's College London to study Religion, Philosophy and Ethics and then returned to KT to develop some of Colin's teaching materials - the "Sword of the Spirit" series. In March 2009, I took over the responsibility for running the youth ministry from Andreas when he returned to Norway. I'm passionate about seeing young people in London drawing closer to God and being equipped to fulfill their destiny in Christ. Together, in our gatherings and cell groups, I believe we can support and challenge one another to live for Christ in this world and lead others to Him.
