Thanksgiving and Testimonies

This edition of Revival Times features youth testimonies from Jovanka, Evelyn, Beverly, Genevieve, Faith, and Keturah, who are members of Vikki’s cell groups.  “Edism” and “Dates for Your Diary” are also included at the bottom.

Thanks giving/Testimony

When testimony time came during my cell, I was amazed at the lack of enthusiasm and they seemed to have very few things to share, I thought surely we serve a supernatural God, and there was so much need in the cell, so we started pray for different areas according to the need each week and the week after we would share what had happened and week by week we started to hear of answered prayers and amazing work of God in those areas and more.

Now at cell, my cell members cannot wait to share their testimonies its one of the highlights of our cell time.

In Revelation19:10 it says ‘For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy’ when we share our testimonies, Jesus is magnified and his divine will is proclaimed, it also releases faith for others to believe for their own miracles and breakthrough. I’ve experience it in my cell in how the level of faith and expectation rises as we share what God as done in our lives.

No testimony is too small and we should have a lifestyle of sharing and giving thanks to God for All that He is doing in our lives, too often we seem more impress with what the enemy is doing than what God as done.

These testimonies are just a few glimpse of what God is doing; there have been amazing reports of salvations, relationship reconciliations, jobs, supernatural provision, exams results, and healings.

Testimonies

Jovanka:

Last year I finished my degree in fine art afterwards I wasn’t sure how to start using my gift in art and earn money with it, especially in the art world it where can be difficult in the early stages.

Few months later I received a word from Cindy Jacobs that God will open the doors for my gifting, as bible says believe the profit and you shall prosper so I did I started praying into the prophetic word. Not long after that I got commissioned to do few paintings for one influential company they liked my work and a while later they asked me to do few more paintings. As the company is very influential and has a great networking connections I believe Gods favour and doors for my gifting are opening .I want to thank God for His favour and faithfulness.

Evelyn, Beverly, Genevieve

We had planned to go to the youth encounter, following the amazing experience we got from the youth camp in August 2011. What we failed to realise is that we had a family wedding to attend for that same weekend. When we found out, we were sad and dishearten, but somehow knew we were supposed to be there, to the point where we asked one the leaders if they could change  the Encounter date as changing the wedding date seemed impossible. However, this could not be done.

We prayed and God recognised the zeal in our hearts.

One Sunday we went to cell and there were general prayers for those who knew there was going to the encounter, we joined and stood in faith.

That evening one of us shared our concerns about this with our Dad. He investigated and was informed that the wedding had been postponed to next year!

God makes what seems impossible, POSSIBLE. We will be at this youth encounter and be a witness to what is in store.

Faith

My cell has exploded in the last 6 months and I now have 12 members and at least 7 to 8 of them attend regularly. We are seeing a lot of spiritual growth and now I have 10 of them going on the next youth encounter. We’ve also seen great testimonies of healing, breakthroughs, finances and open doors to university. God is good.

I was also praying and believing God for a promotion at work and have been looking around for opportunities. Just before I went on holiday a secondment position was advertised which was exactly what I wanted but I did not have all of the requirements. I decided to take the leap of faith and apply anyhow presenting what I have selection and interviews were to be done quite quickly and since I would be on holiday I decided to notify them and give a suitable date after my return to be contacted. I thought it seemed quite presumptuous to do that but I decided to do it anyway as I thought I was a good enough candidate and could be picked. Finally the day I got back from holiday I got a phone call telling me that my application was very good and it was the only application received therefore I should come in for an informal interview. I prayed with the cell the day before the interview and it went very well and I was offered the job, Praise God!

Keturah (Faith’s cell member)

Keturah began having pain on her back and swelling, which was a symptom of the infection she had had 3 times in the past and went through 3 surgeries to get rid of the infection. When she went to the doctor she was given antibiotics and monitored the pain in preparation for surgery. She text me about this and we prayed for her in the cell and in our primary cell. That night I had a dream that she was now healed and out and about the next morning I got a text from Keturah saying that she was now feeling much better and did not need anymore  surgery but had to finish her antibiotics. Thank God for Keturah’s healing.

Edism

God is on the move and KTYM are moving with Him! In my position as Youth Pastor it’s encouraging to hear all the feedback of how God’s been showing up in youth members lives and how they are stepping out in obedience to His calling. There are stories of young people sharing the gospel boldly with their friends through many different creative means. For example, Elijah’s ‘mix tape’ was released last month and available for free download, which shares a number of his testimonies and revelations about God. This month in the article below Vikki, a long standing primary youth leader, shares the testimonies recently pouring out of her cell.
